I was at an event for work Wednesday night where I learned the Tamil phrase in the title: “Poeytu Veren.” It means, “You go and then you come back.” You go out into the world and then you return to the relationships that matter that you. I like thinking of it as the “glass half full” version of “Always Leaving” by Spoonboy. Instead of thinking, “Man, I always have to leave people I love,” thinking, “It’s so great that I am always going back to OTHER people I love!”Not focusing on how I’m leaving Jer when I visit my friend in WV, but on how I’m coming back to those friends. Not being sad when I leave my friends at fest, but being happy that I came back to them again and that I am coming back to my friends in CA. Constantly coming back. I like it. :)
